SOCA (Souls of the Christian Apostolate, 501c3) exists to win and multiply interior apostles. Based on the spiritual classic "The Soul of the Apostolate" by Dom Chautard, SOCAs vision is to form interior apostles who will, in turn, win apostles to revitalize the Church. SOCAs mission to accomplish this end is formation in doctrine, liturgy, and most especially, the interior life. The SOCA App is inspired by SOCAs practical, front-line, interpersonal evangelization with college students and adults in the heart of Denver, CO. As SOCAs missionary envoys have learned through their ministry, a concrete formation plan is critical for long-term fruits and true conversion.

There is "One Thing Necessary": the life of Christ in the soul that leads to salvation -- and without it, death. Ultimately, His life leads to eternal, divinized life! Mental prayer (or meditation) is morally necessary for salvation as it is an act directly touching on this vital source for the soul. This is the heart of any meritorious love towards others and any evangelization effort. It is critical to be as practical as possible about developing this daily habit to grow deeper and deeper in His Life and Grace. Many say they want to pray well, or often, yet never do; others deceive themselves into thinking they are doing enough or more than they actually are. From the perspective of eternity, we may realize we are wasting much time without the gravitas of practicality and interior zeal.

A SOCA member is one who has embarked on the path of an interior apostle. They value their own salvation and that of others and realize the interior life of Christ must be the center and apex of both. They also are resolute about concrete results in progressing toward the heights of spiritual advancement. A SOCA members aim is to evangelize through the interior formation of others--after they have persevered sufficiently themselves. There are few commitments beyond ones own pursuit of holiness, the base rule (mental prayer, rosary, and spiritual reading), and connection to another SOCA member through accountability.
